In March 2008, we engaged Ms Elaine Heng from Elaine Heng Image Consultancy to provide professional grooming course titled “Personal Branding for Corporate Success” for the staff of Ang Mo Kio-Thye Hua Kwan Hospital.

The course was held from 24-28 March 2008 where close to 90 staff from different departments underwent a 1-day session.

Elaine demonstrated excellent qualities of a professional trainer throughout the course. She is able to stimulate and maintain interest of the participants and encouraged active participation from the class. Elaine managed questions from the participants well. Her eloquence and teaching abilities allow the participants to each gain new understanding and knowledge that will benefit them in future.

Overall, the participants gave Elaine a very good rating. We would definitely recommend her for our future grooming course.

I am a final year student from the National University of Singapore (NUS), who attended your image and etiquette workshop held at the Career Centre today (18 Feb) at 12pm (and was actually one of those who willingly volunteered in your little role-playing sessions that kept the class engaged). I would just like to take this opportunity to state my appreciation to you for taking your precious time off to coach your NUS juniors on the little things that we would not have otherwise really paid attention to in our own image presentation, and I am indeed impressed by the amount of new material I learnt today (even though I believe I surely wasn’t clueless about those aspects to begin with), especially the 3 classifications of colours and appropriate combinations (I always stuck to the more sombre colours for safety, thanks for providing me the ability to add more (appropriate) colours to my wardrobe), and on the finer points on selecting and putting on a jacket, amongst many other tips. The little insights on what retail outlets do (control of lighting and mirror in the fitting room that put the customers in a flattering light) were a bonus since they went beyond the contents of the notes.

Thank you for peppering the presentation with loads of light humour and for being so patient with us. It has been a useful, insightful and entertaining two hours spent today and perhaps one of the most useful and similarly enjoyable courses I attended. It was also great that you so willingly accepted questions in class and would not mind if we contacted you further by mail. I do not have any questions at present, but I would definitely seek your advice in future, if I have do have any queries.

Once again, thank you, it has been a pleasure being in your class, and keep up the good presentation work and audience engagement. It is also impressive to meet a successful entrepreneur, course content aside, and do continue extending your assistance and sharing your knowledge with people (and students) along your course of work.
